Marina Westerdahl used to be a wildlife biologist, but when she had her children she decided it was time to stay home. It was from her experience as a parent that her business was born. She wanted to find some padded clothing for her son, as he was starting to crawl around. With sewing experience she decided to make something herself.
Her friends and family started asking if they could order some of the clothes. Hiring a seamstress, the first small order sold in just days. Inspired she hired more and it turned into her business, Gissy Bella. She offers pants and shirts with extra padding in the places that count. No need to worry about babies scuffing their knees as start to crawl around.
This innovative mama not only solved her own problem, she has helped other moms with her creative, comfortable baby clothing. She also shows us that the right idea can definitely take you a long way.
