Wanting to take the route of natural parenting with her son, Carina Schott found that although she has no problems finding what she was looking for in Manhattan it wasn’t as readily available in Rhode Island. Using the 20 years experience she had in the fashion industry and her love of natural parenting she created Nonchalant Mom which embodies all those things she does for her own son.
Not just a store, her website is a community for all parents looking to take the natural path. They can find the resources they need, advice and support.
While creating something that she was looking for, Carina was able to create a great business that will help with the household income and give others moms in her area a resource they previously didn’t have. It goes to show other moms that it is possible to create a business out of something if they feel passionate enough about it.
