Mom Creates Web Site With Family Dining Deals

WBNS 10TV:

Stay-at-home mom Dana Davis found a recipe for success in her kitchen — not on the stovetop, but on her laptop.

Davis created a Web site to help families find dining-out deals from restaurants, 10TV’s Tracy Townsend reported.

At KidsMealDeals.com, visitors enter a ZIP code, the day of the week and the number of miles they are willing to drive, and they receive a list of restaurants with family specials.

Davis said she created the site because parents often aren’t aware that many restaurants have reduced prices on children’s meals during certain hours or on certain days of the week. Families may miss dining out because they think the cost is too high.

“It’s amazing what a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches can add up to and keep you from going out to eat,” Davis said.

It’s not just families that benefit from Davis’ Web site. Restaurant operators said it’s good for them, too.

Restaurants that provide listings on KidsMealDeals.com have discovered more customers coming through the doors.
