Having only started in December of last year, Soap Scent-sations is yet another great mom-owned business on Etsy.
Kristi Mott, the mom behind this business, started to become interested in soaps when she realized her son developed some skin irritation problems related to them. Once Christmas she received a soap making kit where she experimented with different aspects of soap making and found that she loved it. She also noticed some benefits from making her own soap, the problems her son had with others soaps had dissolved when he started using the soaps she made at home.
The soaps that Kristi makes and sells from her home are all natural. They do not contain things like wax and alcohol that many other soaps may have as ingredients in them. It’s also a great choice for those that think the fragrance the store-bought soaps have is too strong, they can appreciate the fact that Kristi only has a light fragrance in her soaps.
Besides soap, Soap Scent-sations also has other things listed for sale such as lotions and other great bath accessories.
Although Kristi didn’t start making soap with the intent to start a home business, she did manage to create something that can sell well among people who are looking for fun homemade soaps and enjoy products that can say they are all natural.
