Homesourcing, the art of outsourcing call center work to home-based US workers, has truly hit home. “There are literally thousands of opportunities that are available right now for home-based workers,” says Melissa Brewer, author of The Little White Ebook of Homeshoring Jobs, a digital publication that profiles 198 virtual call center employers down to salaries, schedules, and hiring practices. “Some of the tasks they’re outsourcing are truly innovative and surprising.” With a heightened sensitivity to customer relationships and the benefit of technological advances, homeshoring has become an integral part of many business’s outsourcing plans.
