Deborah Grover of BellySock™ LLC founded her business based on her own needs. The high costs of maternity wear had her frustrated so she decided to come up with something that would help her stretch the life of her pre-pregnancy clothing a little longer. It was those needs she had that helped her create the BellySock. With the help of some skilled professionals and finding the right fabrics, she was able to come up with something that any mom-to-be would be happy to invest in since one BellySock can help extend the life of many different pre-pregnancy outfits.
Of course the next BellySock product came along not long after the birth of the original belly sock. This time Deborah’s needs were different. This time she needed something inexpensive, unlike most nursing clothing, yet less confining than a blanket. After a fruitless search it didn’t take much for Deborah to come up with BellySock Nursing. A product to help moms that are nursing and don’t like the price or options on the market right now. Slipping over the new mom’s stomach, it clovers the mom’s stomach while she enjoys the bond she’s creating with her child while breastfeeding.
Many different mom’s have proved time and time again that a simple idea can grow into a whole new dimension. Filling the many needs that existed for many moms. That alone is why the term “Mompreneur” has been created. And it’s growing. With the type of business Deborah has managed to create, I’d have to say it’s obvious that mompreneur describes who she is better than any other word.
