The author of High Water and Mojo Mom, as well as mojomom.com, Amy Tiemann is the ultimate Mojo Mom.

Amy was a teacher before she had her child. When she had her child, she stopped teaching. So with it just being her and her baby she started to ask herself the question, “Who am I, now that I am a mom?” after a couple months.

It was once her child started school she was given the opportunity to find out the answer to that question. She started by taking creative writing classes where she was able to finish a long dormant children’s book and she even wrote a screenplay. Although some teaching jobs came her way, none of them felt right. That was around the time that she started to create her own teaching opportunity. In 2002 she founded SPARK seminars which is dedicated to teaching parents the concepts for child safety and self defense.

It was a short while after that when Amy created Mom Mojo which is used to describe that feeling that some mom feels when they need to separate their mom identity from their own identity. All the information she has gathered over time was collaborated into her book “Mojo Mom: Nurturing Your Self While Raising a Family” and has been extended through her website.

Thanks to Amy’s own experiences, other moms are now able to find their own mom mojo. She gives moms the information they need to be able to rediscover themselves and their own self meaning. A feeling that some moms may have felt alone in feeling before.
