As parents, many of us are getting a little worried about the toys our kids play with. Each recall gives us a new worry when it comes to the toys our children have in their toy boxes. More importantly, many parents are now just trying to find things that are organic or just simply made in the United States.
KidBean.com is one such business that many moms are turning to when they try to find things for their babies that are safe. The variety of the items they offer also makes it easy for parents to buy more of what they need in one place, rather than having to shop around to many different stores. That is one of the major things that makes KidBean.com so popular amongst parents.
A family owned business, you can find Melissa processing the orders generated by her website, answering the emails and the phone calls made by customers. We can’t forget her husband which she has helping her with some of the packing of orders and handling some of the phone calls. Between the two of them, they handle everything that is needed to be done with Melissa’s business.
Many people may not realize this but Melissa, a wahm like us, came up with this business idea out of her own need. She was looking for some safe, natural and vegan baby products but she was only finding a few things here and there. Meaning she’d have to order from many different websites. Thinking this might be a good way to help alleviate some of the pinch from having only one income, she started KidBean.com to serve the needs she needed, but for moms like her who just couldn’t find a way to fill it.
When she started her business she started it on 3 principles, and they’re still lived by today:
- Every product had to be vegan.
- Every product had to be natural and safe for children.
- The store would hold a variety of items giving the people shopping a choice in what they can buy.
If you read the mission statement on the “about us” page, I think anyone would agree with me that Melissa definitely managed to stick to her goals for the business.
