The upcoming “Mompreneur” Event in Vancouver, created by White Rock’s Kelley Scarsbrook, will aim to teach mothers how to be business savvy while bringing up children.
The June 2 event will feature speakers including Marilyn Bild, EBay Canada’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Kalpna Solanki, president of BOBOBABY Frozen Organic Baby Meals, and Kim Lebreche, owner of Saklas and Co. Accounting in White Rock.
The Women’s Enterprise Centre will provide information on how to start a home-based business while moms shop merchant tables and enter to win door prizes.
Around 200 people are expected to attend the event, which will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Wall Centre, 1088 Burrard St. Tickets are $17.50.
Ten per cent of ticket proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House of B.C.
