When Sheila Zmigrosky left Dallas for her first African safari,
she searched far and wide, but was appalled at the “little boy” hunting attire she had to settle for.
So she promptly created The Foxy Huntress, a line of safari chic and hunting apparel, a collection of curvy chic clothes sans bulky fabrics for serious hunting and a fun line of camo pants, safari prints and khakis for urbanites hunting for bargains.
On her way home from her safari, Zmigrosky bought a notebook and started designing. From that came a line of women’s hunting clothes that look good and function well while being comfortable at the same time. Her goal was for women to never again have to cut down men’s clothes to have something to wear.
“The most challenging thing I had to do was finding the right people to surround me for the startup, ” Zmigrosky said.
“Whether on a hunting expedition, or hanging out at the lodge, the Foxy Huntress wearer knows she’s dressed to kill in more ways than one, ” Zmigrosky said.
